A poem on brave use of the mouth:
I can say anything!
a prayer, an apology, a song, a question, a thought I had last Tuesday
I can say anything!
I can tell her I miss her, I can tell him I love him and I’m ready to leave, I can tell them I am tired
I can say anything!
I can say to the cashier, “My chest has been hurting for six weeks, but I like your shirt a lot.”
I can say anything!
I can say to the yellow birch, “You look beautiful and I want to grow like you, but my chest has been hurting for six weeks and I might need some help.”
Anything! I can say anything!
I can say to the neighbors, “Today is so gorgeous and I’m happy we all woke up and I need some help.”
I can say anything!
I can say to my friends, “Thank you! I love you! I will do anything for you! We can say anything! Do you need some help?”
